You can join the challenge by becoming a YCLA Member.  The requirements are simple:

 

You must: 1. Be from 10-21 years old.  2. Be a born-again believer, striving to be more like Christ and regularly reading the Bible.  3. Exhibit a Christ-like, obedient, and creative spirit.  4. Agree with the YCLA Constitution.  5. Participate in at least two YCLA meetings or activities.  6. Have the approval of your parents in joining.  7. Be certified by the Board or a designated leader.

 

The current system of "participating in two activities" for those who may live farther distances away is as follows:

 

First, download the pdf files below, and fill out the "BEAMS" information sheet.  Write any ideas, comments, or questions you may have for us on the back (we will be happy to answer them!) and send it in.  This operation counts as one activity.  Next, distribute at least three subscriptions to Answers magazine for us.  You can go to our Answers page for more info and material to help you.  Or, suggest another project which we may approve for you to do.  The project must be done under the YCLA and you must make it benefit our group and the cause of Biblical principle in order for it to count as a "YCLA activity."  Finally, sign the Membership Certificate and send it in with a brief report (a paragraph or two) on the success of your project, and, if you distributed Answers Magazines, the addresses and funds received from your venture.  We will send you back the certificate once you are approved, which should be within a week or two.

 

 

 

 

If you are under 10 years old, you may become a Junior Member.  We request that you still fill out the questionnaire if possible, but the only other requirement is simple approval by our Board.  In addition, we are currently working on a completely new class of YCLA, "Advanced Membership," which will be available to young adults ages 18 through 30.  If you are interested in this work, please let us know.
